Camp guests have at their disposal a multitude of possibilities for excursions and sports activities, as well as tasting delicious Dalmatian cuisine:
There are various excursions to nearby towns and cities, for example: Split, Trogir, Sibenik and historic city of Dubrovnik and the islands of Hvar, Brac, Vis and Korcula. Also in the vicinity are interesting destinations within the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Medjugorje, one of the most visited destination for the pilgrims, and the nearby town of Mostar.
It is certainly recommended to visit the Nature Park Biokovo, Krka canyon, waterfall Velika Gubavica and Red and Blue lakes.
For sports and recreation, there are hiking, walking and cycling on the Biokovo mountain slope, and for lovers of extreme sports there is paragliding or free climbing in the nearby hills and Biokovo mountain slope, and fun rafting on the river Cetina, but also relaxation and enjoyment on the fish picnic. In addition there is a possibility of organized cave exploring on the Biokovo mountain slope.
Gastronomy of Makarska Riviera is well appreciated and recognized, and among the most famous dishes are certainly Dalmatian stew, Dalmatian smoked ham, cheese, and meat and potatoes under the bell. If you like sweets then Makarska "Rafioli" and the cake "Makarana" desserts are the ones you must try.
Summer evenings on the Makarska Riviera are fun and joyous. Many folk festivals celebrate patrons and saints or mark some other important dates and always with the original Dalmatian food, drink and music.
